Poston Butte Golf Club, located in Florence, Arizona, opened in 2007 and was designed by architect Gary Panks. Built as the centerpiece of the Anthem at Merrill Ranch master-planned community, the course takes its name from nearby Poston’s Butte, a prominent local landmark tied to Arizona territorial history. The par-72 layout stretches over 7,200 yards from the back tees and is known for its strong set of par-3 holes, including an island-style 17th. Among Arizona’s community and daily-fee courses, Poston Butte is generally regarded as above average, offering championship length, solid conditioning, and notable value.
