Drone Photography

From Hawaii to Iceland and many points between
A lot of people assume that because I’m a staunch advocate for “player-perspective” golf course photography, I must have something against drones. Not true. In fact, drone work is part of nearly every project I take on—and I genuinely love flying. The perspective is different, the creative challenges are unique, and when it’s done well, the results can be spectacular. It would be a shame not to embrace a technology that has truly come into its own over the past few years. Designers, superintendents, ownership groups, and marketing teams all appreciate seeing their courses from 200 feet up—and I’m more than happy to send a camera skyward. From Iceland to the Caribbean, from Hawaii to courses across the lower 48, I’ve been fortunate to capture some extraordinary landscapes from above. Here are a few favorites.
