Wildlife Photography
Wildlife photography has always been one of my favorite parts of the job. Most of the images in this gallery were made on golf courses, often in the middle of photographing something else — moments that unfolded naturally and without planning. While a few were captured away from the course, all of them share the same sense of spontaneity that makes wildlife so compelling to photograph.
I’m not the kind of photographer who camps out for hours waiting for an animal to appear. Instead, I stay alert, keep a long lens close by, and respond when opportunity presents itself. As with architecture and landscapes, club members often have a deep affection for the wildlife that shares their course, and that connection is part of what makes these moments feel meaningful.
One of my favorite experiences was photographing a nesting pair of bald eagles at Lemon Bay Golf Club in Englewood, Florida — pure luck, perfect timing. Moments like that are a constant reminder of why I love this work and why I always try to be ready when the unexpected happens.
