Kissing Tree Golf Club, San Marcos, Texas

Opened in 2018, Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos was designed by Gary Stephenson as the centerpiece of the Kissing Tree community and one of Texas’s newest public courses. Routed through 200 acres of Hill Country terrain, the par-72 layout stretches over 7,200 yards, weaving along Dry Comal Creek with wide fairways, bold bunkering, and greens that reward thoughtful play. Native grasses and drought-tolerant turf highlight its sustainable design while adding to its rugged beauty.

During the shoot, I had one of the most spectacular sunset experiences of my career, capturing image after image from behind the 17th green.
