Golfklúbburinn Keilir in Hafnarfjörður is one of Iceland’s most distinctive courses, where dramatic lava fields meet sweeping seaside views. The original nine holes were laid out in the early 1960s by local enthusiasts, but in 1994 renowned designer Hannes Thorsteinsson, working with international architect Magnus Gudmundsson, expanded the layout to 18 holes, weaving the front nine through ancient lava formations and routing the back nine along the coast with panoramic ocean vistas.
