The Country Club of Indianapolis, founded in 1891, is one of the oldest golf clubs in the United States. Its course, redesigned over the years by noted architects including Pete Dye, blends tradition with modern challenge. Rolling fairways, mature trees, and well-placed bunkers give it classic character, while updates have kept it relevant for today’s game. When I photographed the club in 2019, I was struck by the balance between history and playability—the course feels timeless, offering both beauty and strategy in equal measure.
