The holiday season is officially in full swing. For many of us, it’s a time of celebration, family, and tradition — and the golf industry joins right in.
But it’s also worth remembering that for golf professionals, membership and marketing teams, GMs, chefs, servers, and countless others who keep our clubs running, this is one of the busiest stretches of the year. While many of us are enjoying time off, these teams are making sure our Christmas Eve rounds, holiday dinners, and family gatherings at the club feel seamless. They’re right there with us — often not with their own families — because their work, and in many cases their passion, is creating a great experience for members.
The golf industry is a wonderful place to build a career, full of unique perks, but at its core, it’s still hospitality. That means putting members first, especially during the holidays. This isn’t a plea for sympathy; most of these professionals wouldn’t have it any other way. But it is a reminder to offer an extra “Thank you” to the people who make our holiday moments at the club possible.
Here’s to the teams who keep everything running while the rest of us are celebrating. Thank you — truly.
