World Golf Village: Slammer and Squire

This gallery highlights the landscapes of the Slammer & Squire course at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida, which I photographed in 2020. Designed by Bobby Weed, with Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen serving as design consultants, the course reflects a classic, player-first philosophy rooted in strategic angles, thoughtful shot values, and risk-reward decisions rather than forced difficulty. Broad fairway corridors, water features, and native lowlands create long sightlines and a strong sense of scale, while serene lakes, river bends, and nearby riverfront elements add a distinctly northeast Florida character.
