World Golf Village, King and Bear

The King & Bear, at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, is the only course ever co-designed by legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, opening in 2000. The par-72 layout stretches over 7,200 yards, blending Palmer’s love of wide, inviting fairways with Nicklaus’s trademark emphasis on precision and strategic shot values. Framed by loblolly pines, live oaks, lakes, and coquina rock, it combines beauty with championship challenge. In recent years, the Nicklaus Design team has overseen renovation work, including bunker restoration, green enhancements, and conditioning upgrades, ensuring the course remains one of Florida’s premier destinations and a unique piece of golf history.
