The University of Louisville Golf Club, originally opened in 2001 as Cardinal Club, was designed by noted architect Spencer Holt. This par-72 championship course stretches over 7,000 yards, weaving through rolling Bluegrass terrain with tree-lined fairways, lakes, and strategically placed bunkers that create both challenge and beauty. In 2014, when the University of Louisville assumed ownership, the course underwent a major renovation led by Lanny Wadkins, who updated bunkers, reshaped greens, and enhanced overall playability while improving conditioning. Today, it serves as the proud home for UofL’s golf teams and a premier test for players of all levels.
