The Refuge Golf Course, Flowood, Mississippi

The Refuge Golf Course. first opened in 1998, is located just outside Jackson in Flowood, Mississippi, and was designed by Roy Case. Known for its natural setting of lakes, wetlands, and towering pines, the par-72 layout quickly became one of Mississippi’s most scenic public courses. In 2017, a major renovation led by architect Nathan Crace modernized the design, reconfiguring holes to improve playability, enhancing drainage, and upgrading turf and bunkers. The project also added a new practice facility and expanded resort amenities. Today, The Refuge offers a fun but challenging experience that highlights both strategic golf and the natural beauty of central Mississippi.
