The Golf Club of Cuscawilla, Eatonton, Georgia

The Golf Club at Cuscawilla, set on the shores of Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia, is a celebrated Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore design that opened in 1997. Known for its minimalist approach, the course flows naturally across rolling terrain, weaving through pines, meadows, and lakefront stretches with wide fairways and subtle, strategic greens. Renovation and refinement work by the Coore & Crenshaw team has maintained its classic character while enhancing conditioning. There are only a handful of my images from Cuscawilla in this gallery, as I was on assignment for Golf Digest, focused specifically on photographing a single bunker for a feature project—making this shoot a rare but memorable one.
