Founded in 1896, Piqua Country Club stands as Ohio’s second-oldest course and the oldest in the Dayton area. The original six-hole layout was redesigned in 1920 by renowned architect Donald Ross, who added three holes to form the first nine. In the mid-1970s, local architect Jack Kidwell expanded the course to a full 18 by adding a second nine, integrating ponds and mature oak-lined fairways into the design. The result is a classic, player-friendly layout defined by tree-lined bent grass fairways, small undulating greens, multiple tee options, and views over rolling terrain. Piqua maintains its historic charm while offering a balanced test for all levels of golfers.
