Oak Shadows Golf Club, nestled in the rolling hills of New Philadelphia, Ohio, is a true hidden gem. Designed by John F. Robinson and opened in 1995, this par-72 championship course stretches more than 7,000 yards across a serene, rural landscape. Wide fairways weave through wooded hillsides, natural wetlands, and tranquil ponds, creating both strategic variety and scenic beauty. I photographed Oak Shadows in 2021 and fell in love with its idyllic setting—peaceful, unhurried, and a perfect reflection of Ohio’s countryside charm. It’s a course where the land itself feels like part of the game, and every hole offers both challenge and tranquility.
