Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club, Cashiers, North Carolina

Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, set high in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina, is anchored by a dramatic Tom Fazio–designed course that opened in 2006. Routed across rugged ridges and valleys, the par-71 layout stretches over 7,100 yards, with wide fairways, bold elevation changes, and green complexes that showcase Fazio’s artistry. Sweeping mountain vistas, sparkling streams, and natural rock outcroppings give every hole a sense of theater and beauty. I had the privilege of photographing Mountaintop in 2013, capturing its rare blend of strategic challenge and breathtaking setting.
