Perched high atop Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, Georgia, the Highlands Course at McLemore is a dramatic rebirth of the former Canyon Ridge Golf Club, originally designed by Rick Robbins. Reimagined by architects Rees Jones and Bill Bergin and opened in 2019–2020. Routed across the brow of the mountain more than 2,000 feet above sea level, the layout reveals sweeping views of McLemore Cove and Pigeon Mountain while maintaining a quiet, secluded feel where many holes play in their own corridors. Its unforgettable par-4 finishing hole, perched on a cliff edge nearly 1,000 feet above the valley, has quickly become one of the most photographed and celebrated finishing holes in American golf.
