The Max, a wonderful Robert Trent Jones II design, is one of the finest public golf courses I've had the privilege of photographing. And that includes high end properties like Kapalua and Maderas Golf Club, in Poway, California. The design is wonderful, the location... on a bluff above The Rio Grande River... an exceptional superintendent, and the complete support of the City of Laredo, all add up to something special. If you ever find yourself in South Texas, this is a must-play.
