Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks originally opened in 1964, designed by Bob Baldock as an 18-hole municipal layout. In 2016, the course underwent a redesign by Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design, led by Jason Straka, focusing on sustainability and playability. Over 30 acres of turf grass were removed, yielding 20–25% less water usage annually; fairways were widened, a water feature removed, and bunkers given a natural look. Nearly 40 acres were converted to drought-tolerant plantings with over 50,000 plants and mulch—a transformative, eco-forward refresh of this Southern California staple.

One of my shots of the 9th hole (LosRobles_09A_9-16.jpg) was the cover shot on an issue of By Design Magazine in 2016.
