Laurel Country Club in Laurel, Mississippi was designed by John S. Press Maxwell, one of the most prolific American golf course architects of the early 20th century. The club has long been part of the fabric of the community—quietly steady, deeply rooted, and shaped as much by its people as by its landscape. Established in the early 1900s, it grew alongside the town itself, serving generations as a place where golf, fellowship, and tradition naturally come together.

Like many classic Southern courses, it works with the land, favoring walkable routing, subtle strategy, and an easy rhythm of play. Mature trees, still water, and early-morning light reveal its timeless, unpretentious character.
