LANDSCAPES AND SEASCAPES I love photographing landscapes and seascapes. I’m always looking for subjects, even when I’m on a golf course shoot. Many of my favorite landscapes have come to me while I was on a golf course photo shoot. Often, those clubs include my landscapes in their final selections because they offer a different kind of insight into their property. A great example of this is a photograph I took while in Hong Kong to photograph the Hong Kong Golf Club in 2017. The club’s Fanling facility, in The New Territories is like a huge Botanical Garden with 3 18-hole golf courses. It’s gorgeous. They even have a full time botanist. Once my edits were complete, the club selected several of my landscapes.
THIS ONE is my favorite.
Other times, I’ve decided on a trip specifically to photograph landscapes, and somehow end up photographing golf courses as well. That was the case both times I’ve been to Iceland. My original intent was for it to be a landscape photography trip, but when I learned that there are more golf courses per capita in Iceland than in any other country in the world I reached out to the country’s 18 hole courses. Happily, I was hired by three golf courses the first trip and one on the second, a year later.
