John A. White Golf Course is a historic public 9-hole par-35 in Southwest Atlanta, first opened in 1929 and originally designed by the noted golf architect Robert Greaves. Nestled on 106 wooded acres, the course offers a compact but engaging layout across 40 acres of fairways. In 1999, Bob Cupp and Billy Fuller led a thoughtful renovation, and in 2022 the greens and bunkers were refreshed, keeping the course modern while preserving its charm. Today, John A. White is not only a welcoming, walkable course just minutes from downtown, but also the proud home of The First Tee of Atlanta, inspiring the next generation of golfers.
