Opened on July 4, 1964, Hunting Creek Country Club features an elegant 18-hole championship layout designed by club member Ben Wihry, whose creative approach ensured that “no two holes adjoin,” providing wide, tree-lined fairways that feel truly “out in the country.” In 1989, celebrated architect Arthur Hills refined the course by redesigning all its bunkers. Further modern enhancements came in 2010, when Holt Golf Design led a comprehensive tee-to-green renovation—updating routing, hazard placement, and green contours to reflect advances in equipment and play style. Today, the 7,157-yard, par-72 course remains both a strategic challenge and a visual delight amid the gently rolling Kentucky hills.
