Horseshoe Bend Country Club, Roswell, Georgia

Horseshoe Bend Country Club is a special place to me. I first photographed the course in 2013, shortly after a renovation by Bob Cupp that subtly refined the landscape while preserving its natural grace. Through then–general manager Jacqueline Welch, I was introduced to Bob, who became a close friend and a profound influence on how I see golf courses and the people who shape them.

Horseshoe Bend offers a rare blend of calm and energy—quiet ponds and waterfalls alongside the gentle movement of the fairways. I’ve returned many times since that first visit, and each shoot feels less like an assignment and more like a conversation with a place that continues to give back.
