Nestled atop the Door Peninsula's scenic limestone escarpment, Horseshoe Bay Golf Club unfolded its championship layout in 2000, bringing to life the vision of Frank E. Murphy from the early 1900s. Designed by Rick Robbins (former Jack Nicklaus Design architect) and Brian Lussier, the course threads through rolling terrain, old apple orchards, and rugged limestone features, offering captivating views of Green Bay and a memorable, elevated design. The layout survived nature’s challenge too: a 1998 tornado reshaped holes 4 and 5, adding character and telling the course’s story. Today, Horseshoe Bay is celebrated as Door County's premiere private golf experience, balancing strategic design with breathtaking scenery.
