The Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Florida, features a stunning 18‑hole Gary Player Championship Course, originally opened in 1996 and skillfully crafted by the South African legend himself.
In 2011, new owner Jim Crane, spearheaded a full renovation led by architect Tom Fazio, introducing TifGrand fairways with sand capping and MiniVerde greens for optimal playability and firmness. I shot the course in 2012, very early in my photography career. I feel like it was this kind of "punching above my weight" project that propelled my career forward in those early days.
This was a great shoot, and I have yet to experience a more spectacular blue hour/sunrise anywhere in the world since.
