Country Club of Sapphire Valley, Cashiers, North Carolina

The Country Club of Sapphire Valley, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, is a course I’ve photographed multiple times and one I always look forward to returning to. Designed by George Cobb, and more recently renovated by Bill Bergin, it blends natural beauty with thoughtful strategy. Surrounded by stunning mountain views, cool summer air, and lush forests, the course makes excellent use of elevation changes, streams, and natural contours to create memorable holes. Each shoot has offered new perspectives, with light and landscape highlighting the unique charm of North Carolina mountain golf.
