Chapel Hills Golf Club, Douglasville, Georgia

Chapel Hills Golf Club in Douglasville, Georgia opened in 1992, and it’s a terrific example of Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton’s ability to route golf through strong natural terrain. The course rolls across steep hills and granite outcroppings, with tree-lined corridors, elevated tee shots, and greens that ask for real precision—especially the memorable shared/double green on holes 9 and 18. What I love photographing here is the variety: big, open vistas one moment, quiet pine-framed corners the next. It’s a fun, honest layout with a lot of charm.
