Babcock National Golf Club, Punta Gorda, Florida

I photographed Babcock National Golf Club in Punta Gorda, Florida, in October of 2023. It was designed by Gordon Lewis and is part of the Babcock Ranch community, known as America’s first solar-powered town.

The balance of broad fairways, lakes, and protected wetlands created a strong visual character that carried through the entire layout.

Light played a big role during my shoot. Mornings brought soft tones and calm reflections on the lakes, while afternoons delivered warmer light that revealed the contours of the fairways and greens.
