Golfklúbbur Akureyrar, Akureyri, Iceland

Akureyri Golf Club, in Akureyri, Iceland, was once the northernmost 18-hole golf course in the world. Though Lofoten Links now holds that distinction, Akureyri still feels like it’s on top of the world — especially when there’s fresh snow on the surrounding mountains in late June. I photographed the course in 2018, and it remains one of the most unique and beautiful golf experiences I’ve ever captured.
