East Lake Golf Club is a classic beauty, originally designed by Tom Bendelow at the beginning of the last century, and later redesigned by Donald Ross. After a long and storied history, the club and its course went thru a period of decline until the early 1990's, when the club was obtained by a charitable organization determined to restore not only the club, but also the surrounding community.
In 1994, Rees Jones was hired to restore the Donald Ross design, and the result is a classic beauty. It was a genuine pleasure and a privilege to be asked to provide new images of this wonderful golf course. Add to that the fact that on my second morning of shooting I was gifted with amazing and unusual light and skies, and this was a special photo shoot... perhaps my best work yet.
